Illegal constructions at Patnitop: CBI searches underway at 11 places in J&K | KNO

Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNO): Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) raids are underway at 11 places in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the illegal constructions and encroachments at famous tourist resort Patnitop, officials said. They told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting searches at 11 locations that include Jammu, Udhampur, and Kathua districts at the offices, residential premises of public servants including then CEOs, Patnitop Development Authority etc in an ongoing investigation of a case, registered on the allegations of large scale illegal construction/encroachment of land in the tourist location of Patnitop area of Udhampur District (J&K) “A Preliminary Enquiry was earlier conducted on the directions of Hon’ble High Court of J&K in the matter,” a CBI official said—(KNO)
